EMPOWERED, WE ARE ONE

Traditions can change- it’s time to end the child marriage!

Child marriage robs 10 million girls a year of their childhood…

Help 1 woman out of poverty and she’ll bring 4 others with her…

Women and girls can create lasting change if they have the opportunity to gain an education, access health services, generate in income, and take a lead in their community.

Educated women are:

    • less likely to die in childbirth
    • more likely to have healthy babies
    • more likely to send their children to school
    • better able to protect their children from HIV, trafficking and sexual exploitation.

Put simply, educating women and girls provides the single highest return on investment in the developing world.

The 12 year old girl that silenced the world for 6 minutes.

Our science teacher showed us this video earlier. Let me say that I am very much inspired and motivated by her speech. This speech was delivered by Severn Suzuki during the United Nations Earth Summit back in the year 1992. It is already the 21st century and nothing has even changed. As a matter of fact, our current situation is a lot worse than before.

NOW I DARE YOU TO WATCH THIS. BE INSPIRED. PLEASE REBLOG FOR THE OTHERS TO BE INSPIRED TO SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT AS WELL. :) Thank you.

Paris-India, rue Faubourg St Denis

Now more than ever  I know that all the roads lead to Paris. Magical place to live.

It’s probably one of my rare addictions, apart from perfumes and India… Hmm…Paris of perfumes and Paris of India…

India of perfumes…Illusion..dreams..passion…bliss…spirit…evasion

Being conscious of the maya only makes it stronger. Living in a dream and living a dream. Paris was already written on my birthchart as an asteroid 3317. (However,it was named after Paris, son of Priam of Troy;))

If you have not been on the rue Faubourg St Denis in Paris, you have never been to Paris;)

Dharma
Dharma:  One of the fundamental Buddhist terms. The word dharma derives from dhri (to preserve, maintain, keep, uphold, etc.) and has a great variety of meanings, including law, truth, doctrine, the Buddha’s teaching, steadfast decree, customary observance, prescribed conduct, duty, virtue, morality, good deeds, religion, justice, nature, quality, character, characteristic, essential quality, elements of existence, ultimate constituents of things, phenomena, and so forth.
Some of the more common usages are:
  1. The Law, or ultimate truth. For example, saddharma, the original Sanskrit for the Mystic Law, means the unfathomable truth, governing all laws and phenomena.
  2. The teaching of the Buddha, which reveals the Law. Dharma of abhidharma means the Buddha’s doctrine, or the sutras.
  3. Manifestations of the Law, i.e., phenomena, things, facts, existences, etc. The word “phenomena” in “the true entity of all phenomena”
  4. The elements of existence, which, according to the Hinayana schools, are the most basic constituents that make up an individual and his reality.
  5.  Norms of conduct conducive to the accumulation of good karma.

Following our dharma in the deepest sense means that we’re not really obeying the laws or regulations set down by society. Dharma isn’t about the external world but about aligning with the pure spiritual force within. When our intentions, thoughts, words, and actions support our life’s purpose, we are in dharma. And then we bring fulfillment to ourselves and everyone else affected by our actions. (Deepak Chopra)

Brilliantly blazing, the star Sirius, brightest beacon in our night sky, beckons with glimpses of grandeur unimaginable. Small wonder this star was granted God/Goddess status amongst many early peoples, including the Egyptians and Sumerians. As modern astronomy unlocks our starry neighbors’ secrets, evidence unfolds of the appropriateness of naming this star God.
